I was responsible for mixing the songs. The dialogue and sound design were done by Sonja Harth, who I’ve been working with since the early 2000s.

Mixing female voices is both easier and more difficult. The assertive­ness is often there on its own, but a bit of magic has to be done in the low frequencies to achieve a balanced sound. During the mixing of the last track on the record, “Märchen geschehen” (“Fairy tales happen”), I had the idea of adding a few more instruments to increase the Disney factor. I got Christoph Hiller on board and within a few days it was raining sparks and balloons.
