I was responsible for editing and mixing this album.

I was sent the individual tracks by the choirmaster and recording engineer and then the work began. Editing a 35-voice choir is a very special challenge, because no pop production can do without intonation correction. In this case, however, it is of course much more complex as there are many more voices. On the rhythmic side, a lot has to be superimposed. What you may forgive a choir live on stage is a little too imperfect on CD in the long run, as it also has to be measured against the radio song heard beforehand and the stream heard afterwards.

Achieving a poppy punch in the mix and also a choral sound, that conveys a sense of the size of the ensemble, is a balancing act that I think has been achieved very well here.
